Find Businesses Participating in your Community

Businesses must meet certain eligibilities to be included on the app due to ARPA requirements.

These requirements are:

• Established before January 1st, 2020
• Must be a small business (<100 employees), no chains
• Must be an impacted industry
• Within San Joaquin county

If your business meets these requirements you can sign up on the app and it will go through an approval process which typically takes 3 days.

Typically it should take a few days.  However, as the amount of requests increase, so does the processing time.  This is something being worked on and we ask for your patience and forgiveness.

You can use receipts received at any point after your initial sign-up to Open Rewards with a 7 day grace period.

You can link your Credit or Debit card in the app and it will enable you to earn rewards automatically on your purchases wherever you shop with the card!

No! The program is open to everyone, regardless of where you live. Just make sure your purchases are made in San Joaquin County’s eligible list of small businesses.

Yes, rewards will expire after not using them for 3 months.  You can check this on the app by pressing "Expiration" at the bottom of the "Overview" box on your home page.

You will only get a maximum of $50 per receipt (e.g., if your receipt total is $60 you will only be reimbursed $50).

Claiming a receipt will put the money spent at that business into your rewards balance.

Redeeming a receipt will be pulling money out of your rewards balance (if available) to be given back to you.

If there is no money in your rewards balance and you try and redeem a receipt, that money will simply be added to your rewards balance.
